Natural history and ecology:
Zoe Ritchie creates hand-dyed, hand-woven yardage using only natural dyes and Blue-faced Leicester wool. She forages for her local plant dyes year-round.

What makes this so special: In the spring Zoe collects bracken fronds, gorse, and comfrey, also known as knit bone. and nettles as needed to make brownish-to-green dyes. In August, she picks bog myrtle and heather, which both provide beautiful yellow dyes. The view from her studio is utterly glorious.
