What makes this so special:

Säntis Textiles is a Swiss, family-owned textile company based in Singapore. With over 20 years of experience, since 2016, the company has been developing 100% recycled cotton yarns from pre-consumer cotton waste. The textile waste collected from over 100 sources in 3 countries comes from the apparel, home furnishing, and bed sheet industries.

Santis Textiles is actively contributing to the advancement of the circular economy, taking a closer look at recycled cotton and joining the <1% of members who are taking steps to recycle it (according to the Textile Exchange report).

Säntis Textiles launched the world's first fully certified 100% recycled cotton, the RC0100.

“Our mechanical recycling process does not add any water for the reuse of cotton. A lot of people say that cotton growing and the cotton process is a big water consumption. Our recycling process is mechanical, it’s dry. There is no water involved, so there is no extra water in the whole process or chemicals.”

Stefan Hutter

Stefan Hutter, Owner of Säntis Textiles, based in Singapore with offices around the world. Säntis Textiles focuses on fabric and textiles development and bringing their products to the international marketplace. They have developed the world’s first 100% recycled cotton: RCO100. Working in conjunction with its customers, Säntis Textiles creates materials (fibers, yarns, and fabrics) according to the quality aims of consumers and the environmental needs of the world. Everything Hutter does is with responsibility in mind, whether that be in the realm of developing, sourcing, or any other part of the supply chain. A big part of the Säntis Textiles mission is that they do not use any water in their production cycle, As Hutter explains, “Our mechanical recycling process does not add any water for the reuse of cotton. A lot of people say that cotton growing and the cotton process is a big [leader in] water consumption. Our recycling process is mechanical, it’s dry. There is no water involved, so there is no extra water in the whole process. Or chemicals. No chemistry. And, all these chemical processes—number one, these are synthetic fibers afterward. And number two, the energy consumption, to produce these bulbs and these fibers out of it, are very high energy. That is something people should look into more because the energy consumption of these processes is higher than virtual processes.”

At its core, Säntis Textiles is a family company—a value that extends to the way it considers its impact on the environment and how it interacts with its community around the world.
