Reflecting on an inspiring journey through the world of petroleum-free fashion at the National Geographic Explorers event!

Our co-founder, Tierney Thys, shed light on the future of post-petroleum fashion and the transformative power of textiles. During the event, Tierney also talked about the history and inspiration for our nonprofit ATW80Fabrics which came from mentoring a group of Carmel Middle School students on a National Geographic Geo challenge project. We love that our nonprofit has been inspired by students since they’re our future and true catalysts for change.

Many of the other NatGeo explorers also talked about working with students and citizen scientists and finding creative ways to share their science and discoveries with the world in powerful game-changing ways.
