Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Delhi
Begin your journey in India’s bustling capital. Spend the day exploring its vibrant streets and soaking in the rich history and culture as you prepare for your adventure in Assam.
Day 2 Delhi to Guwahati
Fly to Guwahati, the gateway to Assam and the majestic Brahmaputra River. Visit the 7 Weaves Design Innovation Centre to get an introduction to Assam’s eri ecosystem. Spend the evening relaxing with a taste of Assamese cuisine.
Day 3 Wild Silk and Natural Dyeing
Return to 7 Weaves Design Innovation Centre for hands-on learning:
● Engage with artisans to experience the natural dyeing process using Assam’s indigo.
● Discover sustainable silk practices and traditional handloom techniques.
Day 4 Brahmaputra River Cruise
Spend the day delving deeper into wild silk craftsmanship and sustainable textile practices. In the evening, embark on a serene Brahmaputra River Cruise, enjoying the scenic beauty and a special dinner on board.
Day 5 Kamakhya Temple and Kaziranga
Begin the day with an early visit to Kamakhya Temple, a renowned tantric shrine symbolizing the divine feminine. Then travel by car (approx. 5 hours) to Kaziranga National Park, home to Assam’s iconic wildlife.
Day 6 Kaziranga National Park and Orchid Park
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kaziranga on a safari, spotting one-horned rhinos, tigers, and other incredible wildlife. Later, visit the Orchid Park to experience the region’s vibrant flora. Return to Guwahati in the evening.
Day 7 Local Tour of Guwahati
Return to Guwahati and enjoy a relaxed exploration of the city. Visit local markets, enjoy a guided tour of the Assam State Museum, or take a stroll along the Brahmaputra Riverfront to experience Guwahati’s charm. In the evening, reflect on your journey over a farewell dinner.
Day 8 Departure from Guwahati
Fly out from Guwahati with cherished memories of Assam’s cultural and ecological wonders.
